Hello
As a Marine in the United States Marine Corps, I worked on repair optics, managing maintenance and Marines. An important lesson I learned from the Marine Corps was to adapt and handle stressful situations while creating resolutions for them. During this time I continued to work on my graphic design on the side. I did commission work for start-ups and small businesses around the area and for fellow Marines. Before joining the Marine Corps, I work in the graphic design industry for a little over 4 years. I primarily worked on marketing materials, advertisements, publications, and posters.

PetSmart - Jacksonville NC
Dog Trainer and Associate
Septmeber 2024 to Current
Provide classes and private lessons to teach people how to trainer their dogs at three different levels. When not training was responsible for the care of all animals living in the store. This included cleaning, feeding, checking health, and providing customers with knowledge on how to properly care for the animals. Assisted with stocking, organizing, training employees, collecting online orders, answering questions, processing returns, and checking customers out.
United States Marines Corps - Camp Lejeune NC
Electro-Optic Technician Repair
March 2021 to July 2024
Responsible for the repairs of all mechanical and electrical optic sights. While repairing optics was also responsible for determining priorities and maintenance timelines for a section. Tracked my section’s progress in completing up to 300 pieces of equipment at a time and the stages of each piece of equipment in the repair cycle. Conducted quality inspections on all equipment before sending it out. Every step in the repairs was typed on the equipment service request. Also, trained new Marines on how to complete inspections and repairs, what the guidelines are, and what is required from them. Wrote protocols for different procedures that occurred in our shop.

Worked on 22 publications, marketing materials for clients, and any internal design needs. Was lead designer on Best of Denton County publication, its collaterals, school magazines, town publications, client marketing materials, and all internal design needs. Provide help on lifestyle publications and coupon magazines. Kept communication with operation manager over the progress of the publications and communicated with clients about their products we were designing. Reviewed the accuracy and quality of all products before being sent to the printer, along with communicating with the printer.

Assisted customers with designing looks for interviews, weddings, and everyday. Responsible for listening to customers and providing what they needed. Help style the floor, wall, window, and mannequin looks. Other responsibilities included restocking, doing inventory, and checking customers out.
